A Washington timber firm was fined $114,300 for reportedly violating state and federal baby labor laws.
The violations contain a 17-year-old employee, who was reportedly injured whereas engaged on one in all MVR Timber Reducing Firm’s logging operations.
The Washington State Division of Labor and Industries launched an investigation in Could 2024 after it was reported that the 17-year-old was nursing a foot fracture after leaping on one tree stump to a different.
