An explosion that leveled a house in northeastern Pennsylvania, killing a girl and leaving a person critically injured, was apparently brought on by a propane leak, state police stated.
The blast in Jefferson Township, close to Scranton, was reported round 2 p.m. Tuesday. It sparked a hearth that despatched thick smoke spewing excessive into the air and despatched particles flying by the residential neighborhood.
A 75-year-old girl was pronounced lifeless on the scene, whereas a person was pulled from the house and brought to a hospital. Particulars on his situation weren’t disclosed.
The supply of the propane leak and what triggered it to ignite stays below investigation, state police stated.
