Philippine authorities are speeding to comprise an oil spill from a tanker that sank early Thursday, killing one crew member, after Storm Gaemi battered the nation.
A Philippine-flagged tanker carrying 1.4 million liters of business gas oil capsized 3.6 nautical miles east off Lamao Level in Bataan province, which faces Manila Bay.
The remainder of the 17 crew members aboard Motor Tanker Terra Nova had been rescued, the Philippine Coast Guard mentioned in a press release.

Authorities have monitored an oil spill 5.6 nautical miles east off Lamao Level, with an estimated protection of two nautical miles carried by sturdy present heading east to northeast, in accordance with the coast guard.
