South Korea’s transport ministry mentioned it is going to strengthen laws on the dealing with of batteries by passengers within the cabin amid a wave of security considerations across the cells in folks’s carry-on baggage.
The tighter guidelines are in response to a fireplace that broke out as an Air Busan airplane was making ready for takeoff, forcing the evacuation of 176 passengers and crew. The Airbus SE airplane was later completely engulfed in flames.
Video footage from the incident confirmed the hearth began in an overhead cabin baggage unit.
