Massachusetts Governor Maura Healey just lately signed laws growing the minimal protection limits of auto insurance coverage for some obligatory coverages.
These new limits will apply to insurance policies issued or renewed on or after July 1, 2025:

- Uninsured Motorist Bodily Harm Protection (UM): $20,000 per individual, $40,000 per accident
- Private damage Safety (PIP): $8,000 per individual, per accident
Based on an evaluation by MarketWatch, the typical price of full protection within the state has elevated by 8% since 2023. The common price of minimal protection within the state was almost the identical in 2024 as in 2023.
