Kansas Insurance coverage Commissioner Vicki Schmidt shall be serving because the Midwest Zone Chair for the Nationwide Affiliation of Insurance coverage Commissioners (NAIC) in 2025. Committee assignments shall be introduced in January of 2025.
“I look ahead to main the dialogue on how we are able to greatest serve the distinctive insurance coverage markets within the Midwest,” stated Schmidt.
NAIC members are organized into 4 geographical zones. The Midwest Zone is made up of 13 states. The chair, vice chair and the secretary are elected yearly by their respective zone members. Commissioner Schmidt had beforehand been elected vice chair (2024) and the secretary-treasurer (2023).
