Cyber Safety Risk Detected at Kuala Lumpur Worldwide Airport: Malaysia Airports

A cyber safety risk affecting laptop methods on the Kuala Lumpur Worldwide Airport was detected on Sunday, the Nationwide Cyber Safety Company and Malaysia Airports stated in a joint assertion.

The operations at KLIA weren’t impacted and authorities are monitoring the state of affairs and supporting Malaysia Airports, NACSA Chief Government Megat Zuhairy Megat Tajudin stated in a press release Tuesday.

Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim stated individually on Tuesday that hackers demanded a $10 million ransom for the cyberattack.

“I didn’t wait 5 seconds. I instantly stated no,” Anwar stated in a speech in Kuala Lumpur. “There isn’t any means for this nation to be protected if its leaders and methods permit us to undergo ultimatums from criminals and traitors, whether or not inside or exterior this nation.”

Malaysia Airports and NACSA stated they had been implementing crucial measures to safeguard the infrastructure and guarantee uninterrupted passenger expertise.
