A Singaporean-flagged cargo vessel was hit by Yemen’s Houthi missiles within the Gulf of Aden on Friday, forcing it to return to its final port of name to evaluate the injury.
Iran-aligned Houthis launched ballistic missiles and drones in direction of the ship, their navy spokesperson Yahya Sarea mentioned in a televised speech.
The vessel was hit 83 nautical miles southeast of Yemen’s port metropolis of Aden on two separate events by two missiles on its port aspect, with the extent of the injury to be established, the UK Maritime Commerce Operations (UKMTO) mentioned.
