MARSEILLES, Sick. (AP) — Two Indiana males have died and a 7-year-old woman has been discovered protected after the boat they had been fishing from was discovered capsized on an jap Illinois lake.
Police responded Sunday to a 911 name at LaSalle Lake State Fish and Wildlife space, the Illinois Division of Pure Sources stated Monday in a launch.
The woman had been carrying a life jacket and was discovered onshore with park guests. She had been on the 17-foot (5-meter) boat together with her 53-year-old grandfather and her 80-year-old great-grandfather. The 2 males weren’t carrying life jackets, in response to police.
They had been pronounced lifeless by a coroner after their our bodies had been recovered about 7:45 p.m. Sunday.
The woman’s grandfather was from Merrillville, Indiana, whereas her great-grandfather lived in Gary, Indiana.
Police had been investigating how the boat capsized. The two,000-acre (809-hectare) lake is close to Marseilles, about 84 miles (135 kilometers) southwest of Chicago.
