BMW is recalling 394,000 older automobiles outfitted with air luggage that may explode and ship steel fragments flying on the driver, the newest in a line of Takata remembers that began greater than a decade in the past.
Regulators are notably involved that among the automobiles could have been modified by the homeowners to incorporate sport or M-sport steering wheels — efficiency steering wheels that resemble these on racecars — that use air luggage made by the now-defunct provider Takata, in keeping with the Nationwide Freeway Visitors Security Administration.
