WARREN, Mich. (AP) — The lead singer of the 4 Tops stated a Detroit-area hospital restrained him and ordered a psychological examination after refusing to imagine that he was a part of the Motown music group.
Alexander Morris, who’s Black, filed a lawsuit Monday in opposition to Ascension Macomb-Oakland Hospital in Warren, alleging racial discrimination and different misconduct throughout an April 2023 go to for chest ache and respiratory issues.
Hospital workers “wrongfully assumed he was mentally sick when he revealed his id as a star determine,” the lawsuit says.
